Many times we hear that it is not possible to heal from strep or these ear infections naturally. My experience has proven otherwise. Lack of nutrients, run down immune systems, stress – these elements that contribute to illness are a part of life. However where there is a problem, God created a solution in His amazing creation. Here are some ways we have overcome these without the use of harmful drugs or procedures.

Ear Infections:
- Slice an organic onion in a pot of filtered water, heat until translucent. Take a washcloth or muslin cloth and fill with the onion and fluid. You want it warm to touch, but not scorching or dripping. Place the cloth over the ear and allow to sit for about 2 hours. Repeat several times a day as needed.
- Massage the outside of the ear in circular patterns to allow the canal to drain; use essential oils like helichrysum, lavender, frankincense, or fir (do not put the oils inside the ear).
- Use a mix of distilled water and hydrogen peroxide to go in the ear and allow to drain in for a few minutes.
- Use undiluted collodial silver to drain in and leave for several minutes.
- Make a garlic/mullein olive oil infusion – put garlic and mullein leaves in a pot on the stove to warm for 15 minutes. Allow to cool enough to be body temperature. Be careful not to burn the garlic or oil. Use oil to drain into ear for several minutes several times a day.
- Use a hot sock or hot water bottle heater over the ear after any of these methods.
- Do not use internal methods if the ear drum has ruptured.
Strep/Sore Throat:
- Using about 2-5 drops each of Thieves, Lugol Iodine, and Oregano (for adults) – gargle with each twice a day.
- Use the Thieves cough drops as often as needed or an organic brand.
- Make a saline solution with filtered water and Celtic or Himalayan salt and gargle with as often as needed.
- Drink herbal teas that are soothing for throat and respiratory – find some from your local health market or herbalist. Search online for a recipe to make your own.
- Make a honey infusion of cinnamon, ginger, cloves, allspice, nutmeg and lemon juice and take small bites throughout the day.
- Brew some herbal or green chai tea.
Be sure to avoid sugar and other foods that would deactivate the immune system and reach for nourishing foods like organic whole foods, homemade bone broth, and fermented foods. Praying for complete healing!
