This past year I have experienced healing through prayer in a way I did not really believe was possible prior. I have been actively seeking healing in different areas of my and my family’s life for a number of years. Seeking through natural means of homeopathy, essential oils, herbs, acupuncture, bio-feedback, chiropractic, dietary, even dabbling in Chinese medicines. With all these amazing gifts God has provided for our healing, I still ran up against a wall in certain areas. In particular, healing my thyroid, pancreas, and gallbladder. I can see now why so many people have their thyroid removed, go on diabetic medicines, and have their gallbladder removed. Knowing that God held an answer for me, I decided to pray.
I prayed for His direction in the course of action I should take for each of these areas. I prayed for Him to show me what was the root cause of each of them as well. There were many days it was one step forward, two steps back. Through this time, I utilized the skill of applied kinesiology in a trusted, Christ-connected naturopath. With her faithful help, we were able to discover the many causes for weakness in those organs. Some of them were related to vaccinations, hidden viruses, chromosomal damage, toxic chemicals, misalignments, stones, calcifications, and other issues.
The key in the healing was to pray in faith believing, but also to be very specific in asking God to release each particular cause from each particular organ. I am a witness today of His mercy in my healing. I have seen my energy level plummet, weight gain go up and up for days, find the cause, pray for the release and healing specifically naming, and the following day experience more energy and weightloss. After going through these types of episodes over and over and over again, I cannot say it was or is coincidental. It is God keeping His word – He says to ask in faith and believe that He will give us what we ask for; so long as it is in His will and not in a selfish or destructive manner. I think often of the verse where He says if we being “evil” want to give good gifts to our own children, how much more does He to us if we only ask?
I say all this to His glory. He did provide an answer in nature for our healing. But He also gave us prayer and a means to touch the hem of His garment to be made completely whole. “Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.” Isaiah 58:8 ESV
